On Saturday May 9th Grampian Kart Club will be hosting the Lord Seafield Challenge. This event will be run as an open / non-licecned event.
Saturday morning will be run as open practice as per a usual BDOC weekend with the Lord Seafield Challenge starting at 2pm. There will be no additional charge for practice for competitors entering the Lord Seafield Challenge. All classes welcome.
To offer competitors something a little different the format of the event has been changed from the usual heats and final. For all classes (other than Bambino) the format will be 10min timed qualifying which will decide the grid for the pre-final. Fastest lap takes pole. Pre-final will be a 15lap race with the finishing order deciding the grid for the final. 20lap final decides the winner of the Lord Seafield Challenge.
10min Timed Quaifying (decides grid for pre-final)
Pre-final a 15lap race (decided grid for final)
Final a 20 lap race (winner takes the Lord Seafield Challenge)
2 timed sessions of 7mins followed by 1 timed session of 9mins. Combined score of all 3 rounds decided the winner of the Lord Seafield Challenge.
Entry will be £40 +(£10 transponder hire if you don’t have one)
The event will be run as per BDOC Regulations with the following amends:
- One set of slicks to be used (this doesn’t count towards your BDOC allocation)
- This event doesn’t score points or count in anyway to the BDOC championship
