Grampian Kart Club has made the decision as of Thursday 6 August 13:30 to continue with the race meeting scheduled for this weekend in line with Government guidelines on social distancing. We will continue to review this if the guidance changes.

At this moment in time the circuit is not affected by the restrictions brought in on Aberdeen. We appreciate this is going to affect some of our competitors and feel their frustration in what has already been a difficult year. We are conscious that local “lockdowns” across the country could be on the cards for the foreseeable future and as a result feel that if we can operate then we should go ahead.

The club and its competitors proved last month that we can successfully host socially distanced races. This is the main reason we have continued to run a split day meeting (despite the increased cost to the club) in order to help everyone socially distance.

We’d ask anyone affected by the restrictions imposed on Aberdeen to adhere to the Government guidance.

For those attending the same rules from previous meeting apply. There is plenty space in the paddock with the reduced numbers to distance yourself from others. Wear your face covering when you can’t socially distance, indoor spaces and in the mandated areas. Please also maintain good hygiene and don’t attend if you display symptoms of COVID-19.

Please keep an eye on your emails, GKC website and social media for further updates if the situation changes.
